One of the purposes of IFCM to provide a basis for fellowship between
churches and minstries, as well as spiritual support and counsel as
requested or needed, according to the scriptures: Hebrews 10:24-25;
Acts 20:28; Deuteronomy 17:8-11. We endeavor to walk in humility,
in a Christ-like manner with all of our affiliate ministries and ministers,
always recognizing that God is the Ultimate "Father," and
Jesus Christ is the, "Head of the Church."
You might be asking, why should a
local church affiliate with International Fellowship of Christian
Ministries, Inc.?
There are many reasons why an independent
church or ministry should not be totally alone in the Body of Christ.
Years of Church history reveal that very few independent churches
survive into the second or third generation. They usually last as
long as the founder still in a position of leadership.
The connection between IFCM and your Ministry helps assure accountability
for a pastor from among his peers and the spiritual oversight of a
plural presbytery of counselors. Pastors, elders, deacons and other
church leaders have fellowship with other leaders of other churches
of like faith through sharing guest speakers, attending seminars,
conferences and special events as well as the annual conferences at
IFCM in Mt. Dora, FL.
Being part of IFCM lets a local church have a window to the world
by participating in the evangelism efforts of IFCM ministries in foreign
countries. Members of affiliated churches can travel on short term
mission trips and participate in ministry in a developing country.
Every church needs to be touching the lives of people in some other
part of the world. We believe God is blessing those who do.
